A new children's art school will be built on the site of an emergency school in Krasnoyarsk

In the Leninsky district of Krasnoyarsk will build a new building for children's art school № 9. This is reported by the city administration.

The school will be erected on the same place where it was located all the last years - on Kvartalnaya Street, 1. In April 2024, the existing building was closed for major repairs, but after the survey recognized as emergency and subject to demolition.

The two-story school building was built in 1960; after almost 65 years, it was found to have numerous cracks and bowed floors. Construction of a new building will begin in 2025.

According to KrasnoyarskMedia IA, 230 children studied at the art school on Kvartalnaya Street. After its closure, they were distributed to other educational institutions of the city.
