Analysts spoke about the key trends of the labor market in 2025

The ubiquity of new technologies sets a new vector of market development and requires adaptation on the part of business and job seekers. This is reported in the study "Avito Work", which was reviewed by "Izvestia" on December 16.
According to the study of analysts, 35% of Russians expect an increase in salary next year, with every 10th respondent (10%) is confident in the realization of this desire. Companies that do not provide their employees with competitive working conditions may face increased staff turnover. In addition, besides monetary rewards, such factors as the availability of free medical insurance and VHI in the company (38%), additional weekends or vacation days (34%) and the possibility of a flexible schedule or remote work (30%) are also important for working Russians.
According to experts, in the third quarter of 2024, the number of job offers mentioning the possibility of requalification increased 3.2 times compared to the previous year. At the same time, employers started to provide job seekers with various additional bonuses to their salaries more often, such as free meals (+71%), reimbursement of transportation costs (+64%) and voluntary medical insurance (+51%).
The problem on the Russian labor market is the lack of qualified labor force. The decline in the number of able-bodied citizens caused by the demographic decline in the 1990s continues to exacerbate this shortage. As a result, there is a high turnover of personnel in the labor market - more people leave than take their place, which is especially noticeable when the number of vacancies is growing. This trend will continue in the coming years, as the working-age population will continue to decrease, which will create new challenges for employers.
Artificial intelligence is no longer a popular field only in information technology and is beginning to play an important role in the labor market. 19% of those surveyed said they had used AI technologies to create resumes or pass the screening stages. At the same time, 70% of those who have used AI said that these tools have helped them in their job search, experts said.
Earlier, on December 8, Natalia Rogova, co-founder of career coaching service insight, told Izvestia about ways to combat career burnout at the end of the year. According to her, in order to avoid emotional burnout caused by problems at work, it is necessary to recognize it in time, avoid negative consequences and restore balance.
