This year, Russians plan to spend from Br5 to Br10 thousand on the New Year's table. This is stated in the results of the study of "VSK Insurance House", which were presented to "Izvestia" on December 14.

The majority of Russians (56%) are going to cook a lot of traditional dishes for the holiday, while 31% of respondents prefer culinary experiments, so they will cook unusual dishes. Another 5% of respondents on the eve of the holiday decided to buy products that they cannot afford in everyday life - caviar, Kamchatka crab. Another 2% of Russians will not waste time on cooking by ordering food in a restaurant.

This year, the average budget for a New Year's gift will be up to 5 thousand rubles - 38% of respondents said so. Last year, the most common amount was up to Br1.5 thousand. At the same time, 29% of respondents are ready to spend up to Br10 thousand, while another 14% - up to Br50 thousand.

Most often the survey participants will give pleasant trifles and souvenirs (41%), useful gifts - clothes, gadgets, household goods (25%). Another 19% of Russians find out in advance from their loved ones what they would like to receive as a presentation.

In addition, experts found out that 31% of respondents are satisfied with what they get for New Year, most often it is necessary things. Another 22% noted that they are mostly given "typical" gifts (cosmetic kits, perfumes, socks, etc.). In addition, 9% receive money from loved ones.

Earlier, on December 12, it was reported that Russians began to actively buy New Year's sweets. This follows from the data of trading sites.
