Pskov Infectious Diseases Hospital has started using AI for diagnostics

Artificial intelligence technology has started to be used in the Pskov Regional Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital. This was reported to Pskov Lenta Novosti by Marina Garashchenko, Head of the Regional Health Care Committee.

Neural network is used to analyze the results of CT scans of patients. The innovation allows radiologists to more accurately assess the lesion of lung tissue and excludes possible errors.

According to Garashchenko, the methodology using AI accelerates and simplifies the diagnostic process. This is especially important when there is a large flow of patients. Now doctors will be able to prescribe the necessary treatment faster.

In November "Izvestia" wrote that Russian scientists have developed a new method of diagnosing coronary heart disease using AI. With the help of machine learning technology, they managed to detect a number of substances in the blood of patients that indicate the development of pathology, but were not previously taken into account by doctors.
