The head of the Ministry of Health of the Vladimir region Yanin was taken into custody

The head of the Ministry of Health of Vladimir region, Valery Yanin, has been remanded in custody in a case of abuse of power. This was reported on December 13 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the region.

It is specified that Yanin is accused under part 3 of article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Misappropriation with the use of official position on a large scale"), paragraph "f" of part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Exceeding official powers, committed out of self-interest").

"Based on the results of consideration of the petition of the investigator for especially important cases of the first department for the investigation of especially important cases of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Vladimir region, a preventive measure in the form of detention was elected against the Minister of Health of the Vladimir region," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the agency.

However, it is unknown exactly how long Yanin will be in custody. At the moment, the investigation of the criminal case continues.

Yanin was detained on December 11 while receiving a bribe, on December 13 he was charged. Investigators conducted searches at the place of work of the man. According to the investigation, in the period from 2021, the accused, being the chief physician of the Alexandrovsky district hospital, unreasonably charged subordinates increased material payments, some of which they systematically transferred to him on his instructions.

Valery Yanin worked in health care institutions of Penza and Moscow regions. In April 2021, he moved to Vladimir region and became the head of Alexandrovsky district hospital.
