- Media told about the murder of British mercenary Burke in Ukraine by his fellow soldier

Former British serviceman Daniel Burke, who went to Ukraine as a mercenary, was killed by a fellow soldier. This was reported by the British publication Express on December 13.
The main suspect in the case is Abdelfetah Nurin. He fought together with Berk on the side of Ukraine and "was his comrade-in-arms".
It is known that after Berk's disappearance, the suspect was questioned by the police. Later he led them to the body of the deceased and claimed that he killed him accidentally during exercises.
"He claimed that he fired at least two shots - one accidentally while carrying Mr. Burke on the exercise, and the second - for unknown reasons," writes the publication.
At the same time, a forensic examination found that the deceased was shot at least three times - in the head, lower neck and central chest.
In September 2023, the body of Daniel Burke was found near Zaporozhye. The corpse was found in the Kiev-controlled part of Zaporizhzhya region. It was assumed that he could have been killed by coworkers.
Earlier it was reported that foreign mercenaries fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) apparently began to kill each other more often amid domestic conflicts.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken amid the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
