Shebekino and five Belgorod villages left without light after AFU shelling


The town of Shebekino in Belgorod Region, as well as several villages have been left without light due to an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). This was reported by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on December 13.
"<...> We received information that there was an emergency power outage in Shebekino district - the town of Shebekino, the villages of Dmitrievka, Dobroe, Kupino, Rzhevka and Yablochkovo remain partially without light," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to Gladkov, specialists will start restoration work after coordination with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Also, the governor of the region said that as a result of the Ukrainian army's strike, windows were broken, facades and fences in three residential houses were sliced. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties. At the moment, information about the consequences is being clarified, Gladkov concluded.
Earlier, on December 9, in Shebekino, an AFU drone struck an apartment building, tentatively, no one was injured. All residents of the affected entrance were evacuated.
Before that, on December 7, Gladkov said that the shelling of Belgorod region by the AFU damaged three private houses: one of them is in Shebekino, and the other two - in the village of Tavrovo. In addition, another Ukrainian drone was shot down over Belgorod district at that time. The governor specified that no one was injured.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
