Django performed the song "And the River Flows" as part of the tribute to Lyube

Singer Dzhango (Alexei Poddubny) performed the song "A River Flows" as part of the tribute album "Lyube. 35. Everything starts again...".
"We sang this song together with Seryozha Burunov for the movie "Native". As usual, the movie itself became a hit then. And of course, songs from some movies outlive them for many years, and sometimes decades. And in this case, "A River Flows" has taken on a life of its own, becoming a sure hit", - said the lead singer of the band "Lyube" Nikolai Rastorguev.
He also expressed his gratitude to Django for taking part in the tribute and noted that he was interested in how Lube songs would sound when performed by other artists.
Django, in his turn, said that everything is harmonious in the song "A River Flows". He said that this composition is about the soul, about feelings for loved ones and native land.
"There are lines "we'll sit with my father, we'll sit together on the porch until morning." Unfortunately, I can talk to my father in my dreams or daydreams. Talk to your family more often. <...> This is a song about the soul, there is an attitude to our relatives, to our native land. This is either in children, or those who have lived and know the value of such things, "- said the performer.
Poet Mikhail Andreev told about the process of creating the song. He specified that he first wrote the chorus, and then added the rest of the words. According to Andreev, he prefers to use sight-specific and diminutive words in his lyrics, which give them elasticity and boldness, filling them with warmth.
"<...> This song is like a river: about our genes, our grandfather's medals, which are then passed on to a son, a grandson.... There is a term "passed on through genes" - that's what the song is about," - concluded the poet.
Earlier, December 6, it was reported that in the album-tribute "Lube". 35. Everything starts again..." included the hit of the group "There, behind the fogs", which was performed by singer Elena Vaenga. Many listeners consider it a "military" hit, but it belongs to the "heroic-patriotic" genre only in a certain part. The rest of the song is dedicated to ordinary Russians.
Before that, on November 29, it became known that the first single from the album was the song "Station "Taganskaya" performed by rock musician Garik Sukachev. The musician shared that he perfectly remembers the first songs of "Lyube" and knows Rastorguev more than 40 years.
Tribute "Lyube. 35. Everything starts again..." - is a reinterpretation of the band's songs by other musicians in their signature style. The idea to record such an album appeared more than a year ago, and more than 50 performers and bands of different generations and genres took part in the work on it.
