The AFU lost more than 200 soldiers on the Kursk direction over the day


The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost more than 200 servicemen and three tanks in the Kursk region over the past 24 hours. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 13.
"Over the day the losses of the AFU amounted to more than 200 servicemen, three tanks were destroyed, including two British-made Challenger tanks," the ministry said.
It is specified that units of the grouping of troops "North" defeated the formations of 11 brigades of the AFU in ten settlements of the Kursk region.
The Defense Ministry noted that during the fighting in the Kursk direction the militants lost more than 40,000 servicemen, 239 tanks, 177 infantry fighting vehicles, 125 armored personnel carriers, 1,252 armored combat vehicles and 1,124 vehicles.
Earlier, on December 11, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian Armed Forces (AF) had liberated the villages of Daryino and Plekhovo in the Sujan district of Kursk Region. In addition, the Russian military defeated 12 AFU brigades in the region's border areas.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of a federal nature. The operation to destroy the militants continues.
