In the Lipetsk region, a police officer shot an acquaintance by negligence

In the village of Terbuny, Lipetsk region, a policeman shot dead his acquaintance due to careless handling of weapons. This was reported by the source of "Izvestiya" on Friday, December 13.

According to him, on December 12, two policemen (24 and 23 years old) were on duty at the military enlistment office in the village of Terbuny. One of them, recklessly handling a machine gun, accidentally shot twice at his 21-year-old acquaintance, who was sitting in a squad car. The victim was hospitalized, but died of his wounds.

A criminal case under part 2 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence") was opened against the shooter.

Earlier, on October 7, it became known that in Yakutia a 16-year-old teenager accidentally shot his 14-year-old friend with a shotgun. The emergency occurred in one of the houses in the village of Kerdem, Khangalassky district. The teenager took a smooth-bore shotgun from the safe and, pointing the muzzle upward, pressed the trigger with his finger, unintentionally firing a shot in the direction of the boy who was nearby. The boy died on the spot.
