In Italy, labor unions have announced a nationwide strike

In Italy, labor unions are holding a nationwide strike against the government's plans to change the budget for next year. This was reported by ANSA agency on December 13.
There specified that the strike primarily concerns the movement of transport. However, it is noted that so far the actions have not led to major problems, despite the stoppage of public transportation. Infrastructure Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini tried to reduce the strike to four hours by special decree, but the administrative court confirmed the workers' right to strike lasting 24 hours.
According to the agency, the unions held two rallies in Milan and Rome. People who went on strike called for an end to the war and also asked for a minimum wage of €10 per hour.
This is the second time such a strike has taken place in the country. On November 29, a general strike was held by the two largest trade unions - the General Italian Confederation of Labor and the Italian Labor Union. However, this action was not supported in the union of basic trade unions. The protests were caused by discontent over the government's new budget proposal, which, according to the unions, infringes on workers' rights.
