"Unconquered France" intends to move a vote of no confidence in the Bayrou government

The left-wing political party Unconquered France said it would move a vote of no confidence in the government of Prime Minister Francois Bayrou, who was appointed to his post earlier on Friday, December 13.
"It is out of the question to support a Macronist government massively rejected by the French," Franceinfo quoted party MP Aurélie Trouvé as saying.
Mathilde Panot, leader of the party's faction in parliament, said France could make a choice about whether it should continue the course of incumbent President Emmanuel Macron.
"The country has two clear choices: continuing the failed policies of François Bayrou or breaking away. MPs will have two options available to them: support and save Macron or censor him. We have made ours," she wrote on her page on the social network X (former Twitter).
Earlier on December 13, the Elysee Palace announced that the 73-year-old leader of the centrist party "Democratic Movement" Francois Bayrou was appointed the new Prime Minister of France. President Macron tasked him to form a government.
Before that, on December 4, the National Assembly (lower house of Parliament) of France adopted a resolution of no confidence in the government of Michel Barnier. For the vote of no confidence voted 331 deputies. The leader of the party "Arise, France" Nicolas Dupont-Eignan called the reason for the loss of confidence in Macron allowed him financial chaos and his commitment to U.S. President Joe Biden.
Later, on December 5, during an address to the nation, Macron said he had no intention of leaving the presidency before the end of his term in 2027. He also reminded that he would not be able to run for re-election.
On December 6, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, founder of the Unconquered France party, said that Macron does not understand how parliament works. According to Mélenchon, the French president should resign in order for the people to go to the presidential election.
