People's Artist of Russia Boris Shcherbakov was transferred to intensive care after surgery, a source told Izvestia on December 13.

According to the interlocutor, the actor's condition remains the same, but the doctors have questions about blood counts. There is also a risk of brain edema, since Shcherbakov had a penetrating head injury.

It is specified that in the near future the artist should be transferred to the Department of therapy.

Earlier, December 5, it was reported that Shcherbakov was hospitalized with a concussion due to a fall on the stairwell. At that time, he was in a state of medium severity, and on December 9 he underwent surgery.

Shcherbakov is 75 years old. He is known for his paintings "With loved ones do not part", "Guest from the future", "The Bridegroom from Miami", series "March of Turetsky" and "Soldiers".
