US citizen wanted by Interpol detained in Moscow

An American wanted by Interpol has been detained in Moscow. This was reported on Friday, December 13, by a source of "Izvestia".

It is noted that the man was detained on December 12 in Tinao. 74-year-old citizen was on the territory of Russia legally. In his homeland, he was declared wanted in a case of fraud.

The information was transferred to the American side.

Earlier in the day, Ramirez Munoz, accused of smuggling and trafficking in narcotic drugs, was extradited from Colombia to Russia, accompanied by officers of the NCB Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the FSIN of Russia.

According to preliminary information, in May 2016, the accused, together with accomplices, organized the transportation of cocaine from Colombia to Russia by air. The drug with a total weight of more than 3.2 kg was hidden in two postal items.
