- The State Duma pointed out Biden's willingness to do everything to the detriment of Russia and Trump

The incumbent US president, Joe Biden, is coordinating the transfer of huge funds to Ukraine at the end of his term because he has nothing left to lose - he is ready to do everything to harm Donald Trump, who will become the next head of state, and Russia. This was stated by Duma deputy Alexander Tolmachev in a conversation with Izvestia on December 13.
Earlier in the day, CNN, citing sources, reported that the Biden administration is working to increase arms deliveries to Ukraine in the last days of his tenure in order to provide Kiev with a solid foundation to prepare for 2025. It is noted that such a decision was made amid Trump's criticism of strikes on Russian territories with US weapons.
"It is obvious that the team of "lame duck" Biden does and will do everything to crap on Trump and Russia. <...> The Democrats have nothing to lose, and they incite the Kiev regime to provocations, flooding it with another irrevocable money," Tolmachev commented.
Thus, the end of this year and the beginning of next year will not be easy for Russia, he believes, but the Russian Federation is ready to repel any aggressive actions of the "convulsing regimes" of Biden's losing legitimacy and Ukraine's long-illegitimate President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"The time while the old administration is still ruling in Washington will be very troubling for the whole world," the publication's interlocutor summarized.
The day before, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Washington would provide Kiev with additional military aid worth $500 million from Pentagon warehouses. This is the 73rd aid package to Ukraine from the United States.
Also on Thursday, the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, said that Biden had approved a new aid package for Ukraine worth $988 million. According to him, the United States will provide Kiev with additional military support until the end of the term of the current administration.
Prior to that, on December 10, the US Finance Ministry said that Washington had allocated a $20bn loan to Kiev, which is expected to be repaid with the proceeds from frozen Russian assets. The head of the ministry, Janet Yellen, recalled that this tranche was part of the $50bn loan that the G7 countries were going to give to Ukraine. She said that the USA should tighten anti-Russian sanctions.
Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said on December 7 that the total amount of military support to Ukraine from allies since the start of the special military operation exceeded $119 billion, which also includes $62 billion in U.S. aid.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine against the background of Russia's special operation to protect Donbas, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on 24 February 2022 after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
