Putin pointed to the LDPR's desire to firmly uphold the values of patriotism

Russian President Vladimir Putin has addressed his greeting to the delegates of the XXXVI Congress of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) at the VDNKh in Moscow. It was read out at the December 13 event by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko.
Kiriyenko noted that the president had given him a responsible assignment to sound the greeting to delegates, guests and participants of the congress.
"Dear friends, I greet you and congratulate you on the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia. Founded by Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky, the LDPR is rightfully considered one of the leading, key political forces of the country," he read out the beginning of the text.
The head of state pointed out that LDPR representatives work fruitfully in both houses of parliament, regional and municipal authorities, strive for an open dialogue with people and constructive interaction with other political parties and public organizations on key socio-economic issues. In addition, members of the LDPR party consistently set important tasks to ensure the interests of the Russian Federation in the world and pay attention to the most important aspects of the country's domestic challenges.
"I will especially note your firm commitment to upholding your political ideals and principles, the values of patriotism, a strong and united state, the rights and freedoms of citizens," the president's greeting reads.
Putin wished the LDPR party success in realizing its plans for the benefit of the Fatherland and the Russian people.
Earlier on December 13, Kiriyenko said at the party congress that the LDPR has proved its statehood and patriotism during its existence. In addition, the party has successfully overcome a difficult stage after the death of its former leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky and strengthened its positions in the regions.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky died on April 6, 2022 at the age of 75. Shortly before that, he was hospitalized with a coronavirus. On April 8, the politician was buried at the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow.
