- Putin signed a law on the right of state agencies to conceal some data under martial law

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law authorizing state bodies to restrict access to information about their activities during martial law. The corresponding document was posted on December 13 on the website of the official publication of legal acts.
The document expands the federal constitutional law "On Martial Law." Now federal executive authorities, executive authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation, military authorities and local self-government bodies may restrict access to information about their activities in wartime.
It is specified that access to information about the activities of courts in the territories where martial law has been declared can be controlled by the Supreme Court, and about the work of the prosecutor's office and investigative bodies - by the Prosecutor General's Office and the Investigative Committee.
In June last year, the president signed a law envisioning the imposition of a fine or administrative arrest for 30 days for violating martial law.
