Lukashenko extended visa-free regime for 38 European countries until the end of 2025

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko extended visa-free regime for 38 countries of the European Union (EU) until the end of 2025. This was reported in the State Border Committee of the republic on December 13.
"Given the popularity of the Belarusian visa-free regime among foreigners, the head of state has decided to extend visa-free entry for citizens of 38 European countries," noted in the message.
It is also specified that the advantage of visa-free entry is enjoyed by tourists from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Estonia, Germany, Italy, France and the UK.
In late December 2023, Lukashenko supported the extension of visa-free entry to Belarus for citizens of Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Then Minsk noted that the visa-free regime in 2022-2023 showed a steady interest of residents of neighboring countries to visit the republic, despite the obstacles and restrictions on the part of the leadership of these countries.
