In the Tula region, the prosecutor's office has approved charges in a fraud case against a former oncologist doctor who attributed cancer to 13 patients in order to receive a bonus. This was reported on December 13 by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office on its website.

"The Prosecutor of the Suvorovsky district approved the indictment on the criminal case, initiated on the materials of the inspection of the Prosecutor's office in respect of 35-year-old former employee of the medical institution", - stated in the publication.

The attacker was accused of fraud committed by deception with the use of his official position (part 3 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

As told in the agency, the oncologist in the period from 17.08.2021 to 15.11.2022 made false data in the information system of health care about the detection of cancer in 13 patients in order to receive for this financial reward. It is explained that the identification of oncology by doctors at an early stage was encouraged by a social payment.

As a result, the man was transferred from the regional budget a total of 39 thousand rubles, added "Gazeta.Ru".

It is noted that the accused does not admit guilt. His car and current account were seized.

The criminal case was sent to the Suvorovsky inter-district court of the Tula region for further consideration, concluded in the message.

Earlier, on December 6, it was reported about the completion of the law enforcement authorities of the criminal case against the couple Nikolai and Lilia Nikonov, who provided services in Moscow for children with cerebral palsy that did not meet safety requirements. They did not admit guilt in the crimes.
