- Nearly 100 million people will undergo medical examination in the Russian Federation in 2024

In Russia in 2024, about 100 million people will undergo medical examination. This was announced on Friday, December 13, by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova during the open dialog "100 questions about the future of Russia" on the platform of the National Center "Russia".
"In 2024 alone, almost 100 million people could undergo medical examination. And this means early detection of chronic non-infectious diseases," she said.
Golikova noted that as part of the modernization of primary health care, more than 6.8 thousand facilities have been built and repaired, and almost 176 thousand units of equipment have been purchased. Most of the projects (two thirds) have been implemented in rural areas and small towns, which has led to an increase in the availability of primary care facilities by 32%.
According to Deputy Prime Minister, in the next six years Russia is planning a large-scale modernization of the health care system: construction of 3.8 thousand new medical institutions, overhaul of 7 thousand existing ones, as well as modernization of 500 health centers. Particular attention is paid to the creation of a network of rehabilitation centers for participants of SWO and other citizens, with a plan to cover 8 million people annually.
On the eve, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that Russia has 100% import substitution of all tests for detection of topical infections. She noted that at the moment Russia has created 49 rapid tests to detect various infections using new technologies. In particular, we are talking about tests for diagnosing plague, anthrax, monkeypox, Ebola, influenza, malaria, tuberculosis, measles and typhoid fever.
