On December 12, the main musical event of the year - the XXIX Golden Gramophone National Music Awards ceremony - took place on the stage of the VTB Arena. This year's show, which always amazes the audience with its grandiosity, became the quintessence of all the best that happens in Russian music.

The XXIX Golden Gramophone Awards ceremony gathered on one stage the biggest hits, the most popular and respected artists and the biggest sensations. Elena Sever and soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Roman Shirokikh performed a patriotic and heartfelt composition to lyrics by Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The song was accompanied by a symphony orchestra conducted by Maestro Valery Gergiev, Artistic Director of the Mariinsky Theatre and General Director of the Bolshoi Theatre.

Vladimir Kiselev, music producer and creator of the Zemlyane band, came up on stage to greet Valery Gergiev.

"The word combination with the word 'legend' can have no other sound than 'legend of generations'," Vladimir Kiselev congratulated Maestro Gergiev. - Our laureate, and this is a special source of pride for me, epitomizes these words like no one else. I wish this to young people!" - Valery Gergiev addressed the audience.

In front of the audience, Valery Gergiev announced that he was joining Vladimir Kiselyov's initiative and handing over a certificate for 1 million rubles to the heroes who had shot down Western-made heavy armored vehicles in the NWO zone. The maestro's statement was received with warm applause.

Next, the band SEREBRO came on stage in a renewed composition. The girls performed the composition "Song Number Two".

Also special numbers were presented to the fans by a good friend of the "Golden Gramophone", the owner of several statuettes "For Contribution to the History of Russian Show Business", the amazing artist Yuri Antonov, who performed the compositions "From Sorrow to Joy" and "Sweet Honey". Special numbers were also prepared by the group "Zemlyane", Grigory Leps, Yuri Kiselev.

Special attention this evening was also paid to the presenters. Marina Kravets and Timur Batrutdinov performed in this role for the first time. And "Russian Radio" was presented on stage by the star of the radio station Anton Yuryev.

As part of the "green initiative", "Russian Radio" awarded the "Green Gramophone" in a special nomination - to the performer who sets the right example of environmentally friendly behavior to his audience. This year the winner in this nomination was singer Alsu. The statuette was presented to her on stage by Svetlana Radionova, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources and Environment.
