The AFU fired more than 50 shells on Belgorod region over the day

Ukrainian militants have shelled Belgorod region with more than 50 shells over the day. This was reported by regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel on Friday, December 13.

According to his information, 34 settlements in eight districts and districts were hit by Ukrainian strikes during this period. A total of 52 munitions were fired and 41 drone attacks were recorded.

Gladkov recalled that a self-defense fighter in the village of Terebreno in Krasnoyaruzha district was killed as a result of the dropping of an explosive device from a drone. Also, a civilian was seriously injured in a UAV attack in the village of Krasnaya Niva, Belgorod district.

In addition, two private residences, commercial and social facilities and two cars were damaged in various settlements.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that overnight air defense assets shot down four drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the Belgorod region. A total of 13 drones over four regions were eliminated.

Four more Ukrainian UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Belgorod region the night before, at 19:35 and around 21:00. Before that, during the day, a private house in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Shebekinsky district was damaged as a result of a drone attack.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
