The head of the regional Ministry of Health Yanin was detained in the Vladimir region

The head of the regional Ministry of Health Valery Yanin was detained in Vladimir region and charged with embezzlement and abuse of power. This was reported on December 13 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Vladimir region.

The issue of choosing a preventive measure for him is under consideration.

A criminal case was initiated against the Minister under Part 3 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Misappropriation with the use of official position on a large scale") and under paragraph "f" of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Exceeding official powers, committed out of self-interest").

Investigators also conducted searches at Yanin's place of work. It was specified that the question of choosing a measure of restraint for him is being decided.

"As established by the investigation, in the period from 2021 the accused, being the chief physician of the Alexandrovsky district hospital, unreasonably accrued to subordinates increased material payments, some of which they on his instructions systematically transferred to him", - stated in the message published in the Telegram-channel.

In November 2023, Yanin was appointed head of the Ministry of Health of the Vladimir region. It was reported that then he continued illegal activities. On December 11, 2024, the Minister was detained red-handed by FSB officers while receiving another bribe.

According to preliminary estimates, the man thus received more than 400 thousand rubles.

Valery Yanin worked in health care institutions of the Penza and Moscow regions. In April 2021 he moved to Vladimir region and headed the Alexandrovsky district hospital.

Earlier, on November 29, Sovetsky district court of Ufa elected a measure of restraint to the head of the FSIN Department in Bashkiria in the form of two months of detention on suspicion of abuse of power (paragraph "f" part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the investigation, the accused demanded from 10 subordinates to transfer to him a part of the accrued bonuses in the amount of 500 thousand rubles. Illegally received funds were found in the office of the deputy chief during a search.
