Olympic champion Russi pointed to Putin's high level of German language skills

Olympic champion Bernard Roussy said that Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks German better than the Swiss. This was reported by the newspaper Blick on December 12.

According to Roussy, the Russian leader seemed to him a rather pleasant person, with whom you can even discuss exercises to strengthen the knees and back.

Roussy was honored to meet Putin for dinner at his personal summer residence "Bocharov Ruchey", from which the skiing legend left good impressions. In an interview with the publication, he even told a joke about the Russian leader.

The athlete also noted that the last time he met with the President of Russia in 2009.

Earlier, on December 4, Vladimir Putin, drawing on the importance of sovereignty, pointed out that the German representative should not ask questions in English. Putin also told a story about how when he was at German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's birthday party in Hannover, everyone there spoke English. Even the Hannover Girls' Choir sang songs in English.
