The Defense Ministry reported 13 destroyed drones over four Russian regions

Over the past night, air defense assets intercepted and destroyed 13 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the skies over four Russian regions, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on December 13.

"On-duty air defense means destroyed 13 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: five UAVs - over the territory of Kursk region, four - over the territory of Belgorod region, three - over the territory of Rostov region and one - over the territory of Lipetsk region," the ministry's Telegram-channel reported.

Shortly before that, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that a self-defense fighter was killed in Belgorod region as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack on the Terebrinskoye rural settlement.

Also on December 13, the head of Belgorod region said that as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack on Belgorod district one person was injured, a man was hospitalized in serious condition. In addition, the drone attack caused damage to the building of a commercial facility near the Oktyabrsky settlement.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
