UAV operator tells of his first Abrams tank hit

A Russian serviceman and drone operator with the call sign Rassvet told Izvestia on December 13 about his experience of destroying the first Abrams tank during a special military operation (SMO), and how the picture of the conflict has changed since then.
"On February 26, 2023, we were lucky enough to hit an Abrams," Rassvet noted.
The Russian serviceman said that since the capture of Avdeevka, "everything has changed colossally." Today, drones are used everywhere, including for mines, reconnaissance, relaying, electronic warfare. In the early days of the NWO, there was no such abundance in use, Rassvet shared.
According to the fighter, 60% of all combat operations are carried out with the help of UAVs. Moreover, the enemy is not standing still and is also increasing the turnover of its production.
Earlier, on December 11, Sergeant Maxim Botov, acting as part of a motorized rifle unit in the area of the SSO, prevented a breakthrough in the defense, destroying armored vehicles and enemy manpower. Botov, being in the defense and conducting observation of the terrain, detected vehicles with enemy infantry moving towards the Russian positions and hit the head vehicle with enemy personnel with the first shot from a grenade launcher.
The special operation to defend Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
