Mi-28 crew destroyed an AFU stronghold and manpower in the border area of Kursk region

An army aviation crew in an Mi-28 helicopter as part of a mixed tactical group has struck personnel, a stronghold and military vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in the Kursk border region with air missiles. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 13.

In the course of the combat task in support of the North group, missiles were launched according to the coordinates of the aviation gunner. As a result, personnel, military equipment and a stronghold of AFU fighters were eliminated.

After the strike, the helicopter crew performed anti-missile maneuvering at extremely low altitude with the firing of heat traps to prevent the missiles of the portable anti-aircraft missile system of the enemy.

Earlier, on December 11, the Defense Ministry reported the successful destruction of a cluster of personnel, armored and automotive military equipment of the AFU by the crew of the Su-34 multifunctional supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Air and Space Forces.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. Ukrainian militants who invaded Russian territory are being liquidated.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
