The Grad MLRS destroyed several AFU strongholds in Zaporizhzhya region

In Zaporizhzhya Region, a Grad multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS) of the artillery unit of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Dnepr Group of Forces has destroyed several strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Chekhov direction. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 13.
The video shows how the artillerymen received target data from scouts and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) calculations, moved to a firing position and struck the designated areas.
"Our tasks are to destroy the enemy's living forces as well as their strongholds. We work both day and night, but mostly at night. It is connected, of course, with the "birds", we are being hunted," - said about his work the senior officer of the battery with the call sign Chizh.
He also added that the calculation tries to work in the dark, in bad weather and behind cover so that Ukrainian drones could not immediately detect the positions of the Russian military.
"The enemy's activity is great, they mainly attack with 'birds'. There is no advancement of the enemy's living forces as such, at least in our area of responsibility," Chizh said, commenting on the situation on the line of contact.
The "Grad" calculations of the Dnipro group of troops hit the identified targets of the AFU on a daily basis. The range of targets varies from infantry to armored vehicles.
The defense ministry noted that after the strike, the MLRS crews left the firing position. The servicemen recharged the combat vehicle in reserve areas, after which they moved to new firing positions to strike newly identified targets.
Earlier, on December 11, it was reported that in Zaporizhzhya region, Russian artillerymen of the 58th All-Russian Army of the "Dnipro" group of troops destroyed a dugout with AFU servicemen.
Having received data from reconnaissance, the 152-millimeter gun D-20 pointed at the target and hit it with an accurate shot.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
