Every month, the Telegram moderation team deleted about 1 million channels and groups, as well as more than 10 million users who violated the user agreement. This was reported by Pavel Durov, the founder of the messenger, on December 12.

"These impressive results were made possible thanks to your reports, as well as our automated detection systems and tools based on artificial intelligence," Durov wrote in his channel.

According to him, the public didn't know about most of the Telegram team's work, so the media often relied on outdated information from the company's website, which hasn't been updated in about 10 years. Durov also announced the launch of a new Moderation section on the messenger's website, which will publish up-to-date data on the handling of complaints about content and Telegram users.

"This page highlights the incredible work our moderators have done over the years and offers a transparent overview of our ongoing commitment to keeping Telegram safe," the messenger founder said.

Earlier, on October 9, Pavel Durov announced 10 new features in Telegram. So, according to him, updates to the application include five improvements in gifs, three in hashtags. Users will also have the ability to add multimedia to a message after it has been sent and the ability to view when a message has been edited.

Earlier, on October 6, Durov said that Telegram has introduced gifts that can be pinned to a profile. According to him, in the messenger appeared gifts that are in limited quantities, which can be converted to NFT this year.

Before that, on October 4, the developers of the messenger Telegram announced a competition to create a new video player in the application. It is planned that the messenger will soon have its own analog of YouTube video hosting.
