The United Russia party is working on additional measures to support participants of the special military operation (SMO), including employment. This was reported to "Izvestia" by State Duma deputy Ekaterina Stenyakina.

"In particular, we are now working on simplifying the procedure for adoption of children by participants of the SWO. We sometimes have situations when in one family live children, but some use measures of social support, and others do not have the right to do so, although it is the participant of special operation, and not the biological father who raises these children," - she said.

In addition to the party project "My Career" social and psychological support within the work team is important, the deputy is sure.

"If a participant of the SWO is demobilized and is employed at a new place of work, it is important that he has a mentor at work. Now this can be implemented thanks to amendments to the Labor Code, which were adopted on the initiative of the EP this year and will come into force from March 1, 2025," she added.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that working with SWO participants to unlock their potential should be the most important thing for the United Russia party.
