Oleg Churilov, head of the Department of the Ministry of Education and Science, died as a result of a traffic accident

Oleg Churilov, Director of the Department for Development of Technological Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, died in a traffic accident in Moscow on Thursday, December 12.

The man was hit by a car on Leningradsky Prospekt near building 36. Churilov was taken to the hospital, but it was not possible to save him.

"Oleg Valeryevich is remembered by his colleagues as a talented leader and a true professional, a reliable comrade and mentor. He made a significant contribution to ensuring the scientific and technological sovereignty of our country and strengthening its innovative potential," - said in the Telegram-channel of the Ministry of Education and Science.

It noted that major state programs, national and federal projects aimed at supporting young scientists and technological entrepreneurs were implemented with Churilov's participation.

The Ministry expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Oleg Churilov graduated from the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. For several years he headed the Joint Center for Technology Transfer of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Rusnano. In April 2022, he headed a department in the Ministry of Education and Science.
