Ex-governor of Ryazan region Lyubimov arrested in bribery case

Basmanny court of Moscow has sent the former governor of Ryazan region Nikolai Lyubimov to pre-trial detention center in the case of bribery on a particularly large scale. This was reported on December 12 in Telegram-channel of the courts of general jurisdiction of the city.

"According to the investigation, Lyubimov N.V. received a bribe in the form of money, other property in a particularly large amount for general patronage and connivance in service during the period of leadership of the region," - stated in the message.

The accused of taking a bribe on a particularly large scale (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was elected a measure of restraint in the form of detention for a period of two months.

Earlier, December 6, it was reported that the former deputy head of Krasnoyarsk Alexey Davydov, who is suspected of mediation in the transfer of a bribe on a particularly large scale, was arrested for two months.
