Wireless chargers have gained wide popularity among modern smartphones. Sergey Birzhevoi, a technoexpert of the "Take Charge!" service Sergey Birzhevoy told Izvestia on December 16 about what to pay attention to when choosing a wireless charger.

According to him, there are several types of wireless chargers. For example, desktop models are compact devices that are conveniently placed even on the limited space of a table or shelf. To charge a smartphone, you just need to place it on the surface of the charging station. Such devices are great for both home use and offices.

In addition, there are powerbanks - portable batteries that support wireless charging according to the Qi standard. They are suitable for charging cell phones, headphones or speakers. The main advantage of powerbanks is their compactness and ease of use.

According to the expert, the first thing to do is to find out whether the smartphone supports wireless charging and whether it meets the requirements of the device standard. Also, the charger should be made of high-quality materials to avoid overheating and breakage. It is recommended that its surface is matte and has anti-slip properties, including rubber parts. This will help prevent the phone from falling. Pay attention to the material of the charger's surface - for example, low-quality plastic is quickly covered with scratches and wear marks due to frequent contact with the phone.

"If you have a popular smartphone (for example, Samsung or iPhone), the Qi standard will be the optimal choice. For Apple users who choose the fastest possible charging, a device with MagSafe support will do, and if you want to charge several devices at once or plan to use charging in public places, consider Rezence," Birzhevoy said.

He notes that not all wireless chargers provide the same charging speed. It depends on the power of the device itself and its compatibility with a particular phone. If your cell phone supports fast charging, it makes sense to pay attention to a charger with a power of 15 watts or more.

"If you are often away from home, traveling or going on business trips, it is worth considering powerbanks. A convenient solution combines two functions in one device. Most importantly, check the capacity of the accessory (5,000-20,000 mAh is optimal). And make sure it supports enough power for your smartphone," summarized the expert.

Earlier, on November 3, the technical director of the service "Paverbanks MTS Yurent" Ilya Kazakov told "Izvestia" about applications that quickly drain the battery of the phone. According to him, the battery is drained by GPS navigation applications, as well as those that are constantly running in the background, downloading new content and sending notifications.
