U.S. President-elect Donald Trump after inauguration will first of all deal with the process of pardoning the majority of participants in the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021. He said this in an interview with Time magazine on December 12.

"That will start in the first hour. Probably in the first nine minutes," Trump noted, referring to how soon he would start working on the issue.

The U.S. president-elect also said he opposes strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) deep into Russia with Western long-range missiles.

"Why are we doing this? We're just escalating this <conflict>," Trump emphasized.

On January 6, 2021, Trump supporters stormed the congressional building to prevent the approval of the results of the November 2020 presidential election, which was won by incumbent U.S. leader Joe Biden. The riots left five people dead, including a police officer.

Subsequently, the Federal Bureau of Investigation opened more than 160 criminal cases. In turn, the acting prosecutor of the District of Columbia Michael Sherwin admitted that the number of open cases could reach several hundred.

The election of the 47th President of the United States was held on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. Later, the politician, speaking to supporters, said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world. Trump's inauguration will take place on January 20, 2025.
