If the engine oil has turned black, you should not be in a hurry to change it. Darkening is natural, because oil cleans the engine, collects combustion products and small particles. Alexander Solonchuk, Director of Service and Spare Parts Department of Avilon Changan, told about it, reports "Rossiyskaya Gazeta " on December 12.

Darkening of engine oil does not always indicate its wear or loss of properties. Lubricant should be changed depending on the intervals recommended by the car manufacturer (usually every 7-15 thousand kilometers or once a year), said the expert.

If the engine works in harsh conditions, for example, frequent short trips, the car is operated at high or low temperatures, the engine is often idling, the oil should be changed earlier than the specified period. Also do not forget about changing the oil filter together with the oil, the expert reminded.

The day before, auto expert Andrei Egarmin explained that the installation of cardboard in front of the engine cooling radiators can lead to serious consequences. Due to the restriction of air flow there is a risk of engine overheating, which can lead to its damage, deformation of the cylinder head and other critical malfunctions.

December 5, auto expert Dmitry Babaev said that one of the most common problems of car owners in winter is a frozen windshield. If electric heating of the glass is not provided, you can use folk and professional methods to fight frost and ice.
