Analysts told about Russians' preferences in apologies

Men and women not only perceive offenses differently, but also have different methods of conflict resolution and reconciliation process. This is reported in a study by perfume and cosmetics retailer Golden Apple and jewelry brand Sokolov, which was reviewed by Izvestia on December 13.

According to the research of analysts, men show less willingness to frequent conflicts: 27% of men quarrel once a month or more often, in contrast to 36% of women. As for the time needed to forget offenses, women showed greater emotional flexibility: 37% of them are able to forgive a quarrel faster than in 24 hours, and 22% do not keep a grudge for more than an hour. Men, on the other hand, hold grudges longer on average: 38% of them deal with a grudge within a day, while 26% can hold a grudge for several days.

Also, when it comes time to apologize, most women (69%) prefer to express their regrets with words, while only a third of men (31%) are inclined to do something nice for their significant other as a way of apologizing. In addition, 16% of men admit that they don't apologize at all, while only 8% of women do. When choosing gifts for this occasion, respondents most often mentioned sweets, flowers, jewelry, cosmetics and perfumes, as well as equipment or clothes. Of jewelry, bracelets (67%) and earrings (33%) were named the best option for reconciliation.

Experts noted that for the majority of survey participants the price of a gift does not play a key role: 40% of women and 32% of men are sure that the cost does not affect their desire to forgive - it is more important that the gift was sincere and testified to care and attention.

Earlier, on December 11, perfume chain "Laetual" conducted a study, which was familiarized with "Izvestia", where Russians told about the desired gifts for the New Year. According to the study, people want to get perfumes, cosmetics, money, equipment, items for interior decor.
