Almost 2 billion light industry goods have been labeled in Russia since April

In the first eight months of this year, almost 2 billion light industry goods were labeled in Russia. These are outerwear and overalls, suits, dresses, skirts, shirts, cardigans, scarves, ties, as well as sportswear, the press service of the Center for Development of Advanced Technologies (CDPT, the state operator of the labeling system "Honest Mark") told Izvestia on December 12.

Mandatory labeling of these types of products has been in place since April 1.

The top 5 regions in terms of labeling volumes are headed by Moscow. For the capital's market participants 536 million codes were created. St. Petersburg is in second place. Almost 106 million goods have been labeled there. The Moscow Region is in third place with more than 91.5 million labeled products. The next line is occupied by the Novosibirsk Region. In the region unique codes are applied to 74.5 million products. In fifth place is the Sverdlovsk region, where almost 72 million products are labeled.

"A large-scale work was carried out to prepare for labeling of light industry goods. What is very important, it was carried out in close contact between business, the operator of the "Honest Mark" system and the authorities, and the industry was also heard in terms of postponing the deadlines for labeling of residuals. All this allowed manufacturers and retailers to smoothly enter the process," - said co-chairman of the Committee on Digital Initiatives of the Association of Retail Trade Companies (ACORT) Anna Orlova.

Earlier, November 6, it was reported that Russia is preparing to tighten the turnover of motor oils and spare parts. The level of counterfeiting among imported brands exceeded 50%. Counterfeit products are proposed to block at the cash registers on sale, and all types of technical fluids and parts for cars to extend mandatory labeling. The corresponding initiative of the Federation Council's Regulations Committee has been sent to the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
