In Yakutia, a rock mass collapse occurred at a coal deposit, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said on Thursday, December 12.

"Under the rubble were two people. Employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry pulled out one, he is conscious, the second is looking for," - said in the Telegram-channel of the department.

The distance from the accident site to the exit from the mine is about 150 meters. A set of measures is being carried out to exclude a second collapse. Eight specialists and two units of equipment are working at the site.

Earlier in the day, the collapse of rock occurred at the mine "Novo-Kalinskaya" in the Sverdlovsk region. As clarified later in the regional prosecutor's office, as a result of the accident one worker was killed. An inspection of compliance with safety requirements during the works was organized.
