Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev delivered a personal message from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Chinese President Xi Jinping on December 12.

Medvedev, during his two-day working trip to the People's Republic of China, admitted that he was glad to have a new meeting with Xi Jinping, noting that a similar reception was held in December 2022.

"I want to give you greetings and best wishes from President Putin, as well as a personal message from him," the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council said.

Earlier in the day, Medvedev said that trade turnover between Russia and China, despite the opposition of unfriendly states, remains at a very high level.

Prior to that, on December 4, Putin said that the problem of mutual settlements remains the main problem in the development of trade relations between Russia and China, despite the growing volume of trade using national currencies.

In November, the Russian president noted that relations between Russia and China are at their highest point in recent history.

In October, Putin called Russian-Chinese interaction one of the key factors of stability in the world. He specified that the relations between the two states are built on an equal basis, taking into account the interests of both sides. The Russian president added that Russia's settlements with China are already 95% in national currencies, and the yuan is also used in settlements with third countries.
