The biggest demand is for products with the image of the symbol of the year, as well as retro Christmas decorations. In 2025, the popular colors are gold, white and red. This is reported in the study "Megamarket", which was familiarized by "Izvestia" on December 12.

According to information from analysts, interest in New Year's goods arises as early as September and increases significantly, reaching the highest point in December. This year among Christmas tree decorations the most popular are figures of angels, snakes, icicles and reindeer. They are purchased 2.5 times more often than traditional balls.

In addition, for the second year in a row there has been an increase in interest in Soviet-style toys. This season Russian buyers have already spent 85% more on such decorations compared to the same period last year. The most popular are vintage Christmas tree toys made of porcelain and glass.

According to experts, gold is the most popular color for decoration, followed by white and red colors. When choosing New Year's lighting, Russian residents prefer electric garlands over 20 meters long with warm white light.

Among New Year's gifts, products depicting the 2025 symbol - snake - have become the most popular, accounting for almost half of all orders in this category. Classic "Nutcrackers" and figures of Santa Claus also do not lose their appeal. They are bought 2.4 times more often than Christmas tree toys, experts summarized.
