The man who killed nine people at a school in Serbia has been sentenced to 20 years in prison

The perpetrator of the murder of nine people in a school in Belgrade in 2023, Urosha Blazic, was sentenced to 20 years in prison. This was reported by the Serbian newspaper "Vecernje Novosti" on December 12.

The sentence was handed down in a special branch of the High Court in Belgrade.

According to the newspaper, Blazic was sentenced to 20 years in prison for aggravated murder. The maximum penalty in Serbia - life imprisonment - cannot be applied because the killer is a minor.

It is noted that the murderer's father was also found guilty.

On May 3, 2023, a 14-year-old under the influence of drugs went on a shooting spree at the elementary school "Vladislav Rybnikar" in the Vračar district. He first shot a security guard and then shot a teacher and students in the corridor. In addition, 12 people were injured.
