LIFE doc presented a documentary on cooperation between Russia and the UAE

LIFE doc has released a new movie from the "New World" series dedicated to the relations between Russia and the United Arab Emirates. In the documentary, viewers will see how the two countries build economic, cultural and technological cooperation despite differences in climate, history and traditions. The project was created with the support of the Internet Development Institute (ANO "IRI").

History of friendship and business ties

The UAE, a country that emerged in the desert less than half a century ago, has become a symbol of rapid growth and innovation throughout its recent history. The Soviet Union established diplomatic relations with the Emirates in 1971, immediately after its founding. Today, the UAE is Russia's largest partner among Arab countries with trade turnover exceeding $11 billion. The film reveals the key stages of cooperation between the two countries - from the first diplomatic contacts to modern joint projects.

Trade, technology and cultural exchange

"The Emirates remain Russia's most important partner in the Arab world, despite external political pressure. It is a country that is actively working with us in a wide range of areas, from space to sports," said Najibullo Jabbori, representative of the Russian Export Center in the UAE.

One of the brightest illustrations of cooperation was the project to develop hockey in the Emirates.

Culture also occupies an important place in the relations. The movie shows cultural exchange projects - for example, Russia's participation in the UNESCO World Heritage Week in Sharjah or the popularity of Russian cartoons in the Emirates.

The future of cooperation

Both countries rely on technology and space. The film talks about the launch of UAE satellites from the Vostochny Cosmodrome and the role of Russian science in the Emirates' space program. "The UAE is a country of the day after tomorrow, which invests in technologies of the future. We see huge potential for working together in the long term," Elmira Imamkulieva explains the position.

Tourism, technology, respect for each other's culture allow the Emirates and Russia to have a full-fledged dialog, share experience and help each other develop.
