"Aeroflot expects delivery of the first MS-21 aircraft in 2026


The first deliveries of MS-21 airplanes are expected in 2026. This was announced by Ivan Batanov, Director of the Department of Network and Revenue Management of PJSC Aeroflot, on Thursday, December 12, within the framework of the passenger forum "PRO//Movement".
"We are the first to expect the MC-21 in 2026 and are now actively working with the manufacturer to customize this aircraft," Batanov was quoted as saying by the Moscow city news agency .
On December 5, Izvestia wrote that the Ministry of Industry and Trade reduced the number of aircraft engines for the promising SSJ-100, MS-21 and Tu-214, which will be produced in Russia until 2026. Production plans have shifted to the right, and aircraft manufacturers will receive 128 power units instead of 192 planned in the program of development of the aviation industry until 2030, writes Life.Ru.
The press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that the changes are designed to synchronize plans with the Comprehensive Program for the development of the civil aviation industry until 2030. It is planned to catch up production volumes in 2027-2030, reports NSN.
Earlier, on November 21, Fyodor Borisov, chief expert of the Institute of Transport Economics and Transport Policy of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, said that the Russian aviation industry shows good results even in the conditions of Western sanctions. According to him, a vivid example is the work on the MS-21 mainline airplane, 360.ru reports.
In September, Anton Alikhanov, head of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry, said that flight tests of the fully import-substituted Russian MC-21 aircraft will be held in 2024, RT reported.
