Sobyanin named Moscow the leader in terms of non-resource non-energy exports

Moscow is the leader among all Russian regions in terms of non-resource non-energy exports. This was announced by the Mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.

According to him, at the end of January-September this year, the capital accounted for 17% of the all-Russian indicator. "Most of it - 61% - is the products of industry: automatic regulation devices, additive equipment, instrumentation, radio navigation equipment and other goods," - said Sobyanin.

In turn, goods of the agro-industrial sector amounted to almost 39%. "Confectionery, soft drinks, products for healthy eating and other products are in high demand," the mayor said.

He named Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey, China, Egypt, Uzbekistan, India, Brazil and Saudi Arabia among the capital's key partners from among the countries friendly to Russia.

Support for exporters and assistance in entering foreign markets, as well as in expanding the geography of supplies is provided by the Mosprom center. "In 2024, thanks to the center, the capital's exporters signed contracts with foreign partners from 46 countries," Sobyanin added.

In September, the mayor of the Russian capital said that Moscow-supported exports to BRICS+ countries had almost tripled. The amount of contracts with the BRICS+ countries with the help of the Moscow Export Center increased from 3.1 billion rubles in 2021 to 8.5 billion in 2023, and the total amount of contracts with these countries at the moment exceeded 21 billion rubles. The most popular destinations were China, India and Iran.
