The Ministry of Finance reported changes in the provision of subsidy to banks on "Family Mortgage"

Russian Finance Ministry approved a new version of the decision on the procedure for granting subsidies from the federal budget to JSC "DOM.RF" within the framework of the implementation of the preferential mortgage program "Family Mortgage," reported in the press service of the ministry on December 12.

It is specified that the total amount of the limit to credit institutions will be increased from Br6.25 trillion to Br8.65 trillion inclusive, in order to prevent the suspension of the program due to the exhaustion of the limit by banks.

At the same time, it was decided to introduce a more flexible mechanism, which involves the use of the total amount of the limit by creditors. As explained in the Ministry, this will avoid the situation when the limits of individual banks, actively issuing mortgage loans, run out.

"The new mechanism will ensure the uniformity of the limit selection by all lenders and will allow citizens at any time to apply to a credit organization for the provision of preferential mortgages," - stressed in the Ministry of Finance.

According to the Ministry, this year budget allocations in the amount of Br290 billion are provided for the implementation of this program. An additional Br142 billion has been allocated from the reserve fund of the government.

Earlier, December 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Council on Strategic Development and National Projects noted that some Russians do not know about the existing limits on the "Family Mortgage". He emphasized that this should be warned.

Before that, on October 9, it was reported that in September, issuance under this program exceeded 199 billion rubles. This result is comparable to the indicators of May 2024, when the conditions of the state program have not yet tightened. Such data follow from the statistics of "Dom.RF". Head of the analytical center of Dom.RF Mikhail Goldberg noted that the demand for "Family Mortgage" remains stably high.
