Two people were injured in a rock collapse at a mine in the Sverdlovsk region. This was reported on December 12 on the official website of the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region.

It is specified that the collapse occurred at the mine "Novo-Kalinskaya" in Severouralsky urban district.

"Due to the mountain impact at the horizon of the mine -1160 m there was a collapse of rock. At the time of the collapse there were two people in the emergency area. One person independently evacuated," the department said in a statement.

The injured are being provided with the necessary assistance.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Sverdlovsk region noted that 32 people and 7 units of equipment worked at the scene.

Earlier, on November 16, in the mountain branch of the mine "Tashtagolskaya" in the Kemerovo region there was a roof collapse. As a result, 183 miners were evacuated. It was noted that one miner was injured.

The Prosecutor's Office organized an inspection of the collapse at the mine and put under control the progress of the investigation of the criminal case under Article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of industrial safety requirements of hazardous production facilities").

On the same day, Russian Emergencies Ministry rescuers removed the body of a miner who died as a result of a roof collapse from under the rubble.
