Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. According to the Defense Ministry, units of the Center group of troops liberated the village of Zarya in the DNR. In addition, they repelled nine counterattacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU).
Also, units of the "West" troop grouping improved their tactical position and defeated the Ukrainian army's manpower and equipment in the areas of the settlements of Dvurechnaya, Glushkova, Zagryzovo, Lozovaya, Kupyansk, Zelenyi Gai in Kharkiv Region, Terny in the DNR, as well as Serebryansky Forestry. They repelled seven counterattacks of the AFU.
In this direction, the enemy lost up to 410 servicemen, a tank, a pickup truck, two 105-millimeter M119 guns, 155-millimeter howitzers M777 and M198 made in the USA, 122-millimeter self-propelled artillery unit (SAU) "Gvozdika", 122-millimeter howitzer D-30 and a warehouse with ammunition.
In addition, the units of the Southern group of troops continued advancing deep into the AFU defense, while the Eastern group of troops improved their position along the front line.
At the same time, the Russian Armed Forces (AF) struck a workshop for the production of strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as concentrations of enemy manpower and military equipment in 137 areas.
Russian air defense means shot down four shells of the US HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS) and 37 aircraft-type drones.
A total of 649 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 37,596 drones, 586 anti-aircraft missile systems, 19,730 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,500 multiple rocket launchers, 19,482 field artillery and mortars, and 29,146 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation.
