240 dangerous poplars in the center of Irkutsk will be got rid of

Dry and emergency trees will be cut down in Irkutsk during December. The work is carried out by the specialists of the municipal corporation "Urban Environment", the press service of the city administration reports on Thursday, December 12.

A large number of dangerous plantings were identified in the course of monitoring. It is about dry-topped, diseased trees with the presence of hollows at the main trunk or its inclination more than 30 degrees. They threaten the life and health of citizens.

As explained in the "Urban Environment", the demolition of such trees should be done in a timely manner. This will ensure the safety of residents when visiting public spaces and eliminate the risks of damage to cars in case of falling trunks or large branches.

In the center of Irkutsk, in particular, it is planned to cut down 240 dangerous poplars on Timiryazev, Krasnogvardeyskaya, Gryaznov, Lapin, Dekabrskiye Sobytii, Furie and Gagarin Boulevard. Then specialists will carry out stump grubbing and plant healthy saplings.
