Forecasters predicted cloudy weather with snow in Moscow at the weekend

Muscovites are expected to face cloudy weather on the weekend, December 14 and 15. The corresponding forecast was shared by "Yandex Weather" with "Izvestia".

In Moscow on Saturday, December 14, the sky will be cloudy and snow is expected throughout the day. Moderate southwesterly wind with gusts up to 3.2 m/s is forecast. In the morning the air temperature will be -8...-7 degrees, and in the evening and at night will remain at -5...-4 degrees.

In cities near Moscow, such as Odintsovo, Podolsk, Lyubertsy, Vidnoye and Domodedovo, the daytime temperature will be about one degree below Moscow values.

On Sunday, December 15, Muscovites expect cloudy weather with a chance of snow during the day. In the morning the temperature will be within -5...-4 degrees, and in the afternoon will decrease to -6...-5 and will remain at this level until the evening. The wind will be weak, in the morning gusts up to 2.5 m/s are possible. In the central districts of the city, such as Tverskaya, Arbat, Taganka and Yakimanka, the temperature in the evening will exceed by one degree the indicators of other districts.

In the Moscow region conditions will remain similar to those in the capital: snow is expected during the day, and the temperature will be at the level of Moscow values.

Earlier, on December 11, the scientific head of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand told "Izvestia" that the snowfall in Moscow exceeded the norm twice. According to him, the average height of the cover in the capital reached 19 cm.
