Kremlin says no invitation to Putin from Trump for inauguration

American leader-elect Donald Trump did not send an invitation to his inauguration to Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on December 12.
"No, he did not send it," Peskov said, responding at a briefing to a relevant question from journalists.
Earlier, on December 11, CBS News reported that US President-elect Donald Trump invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to his inauguration. It was noted that it is still unclear whether he accepted the invitation. According to the TV channel, it is expected that the inauguration may be attended by other world leaders. Thus, the ceremony is likely to be attended by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
Prior to that, on November 25, White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates confirmed the presence of current U.S. President Joe Biden at the upcoming official event.
Trump's inauguration ceremony will take place on January 20, 2025.
